full_moon_dcThis just might be unprecedented in the DC photo community! Three photowalks are happening in DC this weekend in a single 24 hour period! And these aren’t just your run-of-the-mill photowalks, either. These happen to be very special photowalks.

Friday evening with Photowalking.org

At 6pm Friday night at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, Trevor Carpenter of Photowalking.org will be leading an evening/night photowalk of the major monuments of DC.

You can RSVP over at Upcoming. The planned route is mapped below:

Trevor’s actually already in DC and you can see some of his photos here.

Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk

To celebrate the release of his new book, Scott Kelby is sponsoring the first-ever Worldwide Photowalk that will take place in a huge number of cities worldwide!

Jeff Revell of PhotoWalkPro will be leading both DC photowalks. Both photowalks are taking place across the Potomac in Old Town, Alexandria, VA with the morning walk starting at 9am and the evening walk starting at 5pm. The route (shown below) will be the same for both walks. Since photowalkers on Saturday will be eligible to win prizes, everyone was required to register for the walk. Unfortunately, both DC walks are full. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t participate! Come on down and take photos with us… You just won’t be eligible for any of the prizes. But, hey, the fun part is taking photos anyway.

Hope to see you at one of these great walks!
