Tonight’s photowalk was a huge success! Kudos to Trevor for organizing it!

Over 50 people showed up for the walk at 6pm on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. After posing for a few group shots, we slowly made our way to the Korean War Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, and the World War II Memorial. By the time we finished shooting WWII, it was getting dark. Then we went up to the Washington Monument for a few night shots. By this time the crowd had thinned quite a bit, as expected. After a few shots at the Washington Monument, we began walking up the Mall toward the Capitol building. Most people, or at least the group I was in, broke up around the Smithsonian Metro stop. More than a couple of us were looking to head home to get some rest for our early photowalk in Old Town tomorrow.

Overall, it was a great time! It was great to meet so many DC photogs and it was also nice to reconnect with a few familiar faces.

Below is one of the group shots we took before we started:

Friday Night Photowalk

I’m sure all of you have a ton of photos to process… But when you’re done with them, be sure to share them with us over at our Flickr group! I’ll be showcasing some of the weekend’s photos over the next couple days.

Hope to see some of you tomorrow morning!
